When Are You Leaving?
I will be leaving Virginia on the 26th of February to go to Philadelphia for the pre-departure orientation. Then it’s off to Thies, Senegal, where I will begin Pre-Service training.

Hey Erin! Found your blog! I will be reading!
Hi Erin,
The blog is a great idea - for us to keep track of you - and for you to download when you are homesick (yes there will be times) love, Joan
Hi Erin, just testing this thing out. It’s the first time I’ve ever blogged. Now I’ll read about Senegal.
this is great
Bonjour Erin!
WOA you’re finally going! You should contact Laure Fyfe because she loves Senegal and she might have a tip or two for you.
Bonne chance et porte toi bien!

Wow, this is so interesting and well written.
Hope all is well. Can’t wait to hear about all your interesting days in Senegal.

Good for you! We’ll be watching this blog regularly …looking forward to hearing about all of your adventures!
Safe sojourn!
I miss you!
Hi, I sent a message yesterday but it hasn’t been posted. Hope all is well.
FYI, it snowed in DC last night, expecting 3=5 inches tonight. Whats the weather in Senegal? lol. We all miss you. Well not ALL if you get the drift. One small member of the family is already inquiring whether extension Peace Corps tours are allowed.
Hi Erin, Am watching your blog . Anxious to hear how you are getting along and what you think of Senegal.
Bonne chance, amie. Tu me manques beaucoup. Ça va? J’espère =] Es-tu obtenu ma carte/lettre avant tu depart the states? appelle ou ecris-moi vite! A bientôt, Erin =]
Mille bisous
Bonjour Ma Petite
Tiene Bon! Bon Courage! Je t’embrass! Je oublie mon francais. We are all very proud of you. love from the California Conroys
Awesome! I’m glad it’s surpassing your expectations! Erin FTW!
I’m constantly amazed at you. What you’re doing is incredible.
I hope your new home will meet with your expectations and that you will be able to accomplish what you went there for. Bons Baisers.
All I can say is Yikes! It will be interesting to see what your new surroundings will be like. I would be really nervous about being the first volunteer there. I wish you the best of luck. I’m glad you have electricity too. Talk to you soon.
So I finally looked at all these photos, which I’m glad about. I have to comment on those baobab trees- they’re so beautiful. It’s just like the scene in The Lion King where Rafiki is painting Simba or something… I really enjoyed the photos.
Nice pictures of St. Louis Erin. It sounds like a place I would like to visit if it is on your list of things to do while we are there. I don’t think I’d make it in the taxi or at the regional house with spiders that big. Just FYI. Love MOM
I know I’m probably leaving this comment in the wrong place again. Oh well. I will be good to get these writing supplies to you for the kids there. Looking forward to your next blog. Love MOM
